The biggest selling point for me was the small footprint of this lamp. The lamp takes very little space and the light it emits is quite good. I particularly enjoy being able to adjust the brightness at will. Yes, you are capable of adjusting the brightness by simply keeping your finger on the sensor. The lamp light starts at its lowest (see pic one) and then it changes to a warm white if you touch the sensor a second time (see picture two), and then it goes to its brightest with a third touch
